Darius Walczak is a Principal Research Scientist and a Senior Director at PROS Inc. in Houston, Texas. Since joining PROS in 2001 he has been involved in design and deployment of numerous revenue management (RM) and pricing optimization applications across variety of industries. Darius and his team conduct research in the areas of stochastic optimization, data analysis, and forecasting to innovate and improve solutions in the core science platform with focus on the travel industry.

Darius holds a Ph. D. degree in Business Administration (Operations & Logistics) from Sauder Business School, University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, B.C., along with master’s degrees in mathematics from UBC and Applied Mathematics/Engineering from Wroclaw University of Technology. He has taught graduate level RM and pricing courses, served as a reviewer, and published in peer-reviewed industry as well as in academic journals, and presents regularly at national and international venues. Darius is a former chair (2015 - 2016) and a former board member of the INFORMS Revenue Management and Pricing Section.
