In my research, I explore the processes, structures, and strategic orientations that enable organizations to achieve technology-based product or service innovations. My primary interest lies in understanding how organizations can attain high innovation performance efficiently while preserving environmental resources. I examine how firms achieve and sustain innovation under various contingencies, such as employment protection laws, the knowledge richness of the firm's environment, evolving technology trajectories (e.g., the transition from internal combustion engines to electric vehicles), and the increasing digitalization of products and the means by which firms can innovate efficiently.
I am particularly interested in the mobility sector, including the automotive suppliers' industry and, more recently, the ecosystems that aim to offer multimodal Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions.
My research findings have been published in leading journals, including the Strategic Management Journal, Research Policy, Journal of Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and others.
