Florence is an incoming Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Organizational Behavior at the University of Zurich’s Center for Leadership in the Future of Work. Florence is particularly interested in understanding how people want to feel at work, with a particular emphasis on specific emotions, such as appreciation. Florence aims to demonstrate how fostering environments that align with employees’ emotional preferences enhances both individual and organizational success. She also has a keen interest in exploring practices that empower employees to harness their emotions for productivity and well-being and to translate her research into actionable solutions that help organizations thrive in the future of work.
In her dissertation, she examined what emotions employees desire to feel at work and how aligning work experiences with these emotional preferences enhances performance. Florence’s focus on the emotional landscape of work springs from her background in Neuropsychology and her experience at Great Place to Work Switzerland, where she discovered her interest in understanding how organizations can foster environments that allow people to excel without taxing their emotional needs.
