Ulrich Kaiser, born Jan. 31, 1971 in Unna (Germany), is professor for Entrepreneurship at the University of Zurich. He previously held positions at the University of Southern Denmark at Odense from 2001 to 2008 and, from 1997 to 2001, the Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim (Germany). His academic degrees Diplom-Volkswirt (Master of Science in Economics) and Dr. rer. pol. (Ph.D.) are both from the University of Konstanz. He is presently affiliated with the Department of Innovation and Organizational Economics at Copenhagen Business School, the Centre for European Economic Research, Mannheim, and the Institute for the Study of Labor, Bonn. He conducts mainly empirical research in Innovation, Entrepreneurship Economics and Business Strategy.
