Johannes is Professor and Chairholder at the University of Zurich. He holds a Master degree in Economics, a Master Degree in Business, and a Ph.D. in Strategy from the University of St. Gallen. Prior to his appointment at the University of Zurich, he was an Assistant and Associate Professor at Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), and a visting scholar at the University of California (Irvine Campus) and the Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania). Johannes is affiliated with the LMU University (Munich) and the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL Hospitality Business School). 

Johannes Luger's research is focused on strategy and decision making. His work is empirical and relies on quantitative or experimental methods. His research has been published in the leading academic journals of the field, including the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, and many others.
