Itay Goldstein, Professor of Finance and Professor of Economics at Wharton (University of Pennsylvania), author of numerous excellent publications in top academic journals and Executive Editor of the Review of Financial Studies recently taught his three-day PhD course "Information in Capital Markets" from July 15-17, 2024 in Zurich. The event was organized at the initiative and invitation of the Chair of Managerial Accounting and very well received by 27 regular course participants and more than half a dozen auditors, mainly from the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Finance, but also the Department of Economics as well as from other universities in Switzerland and abroad. In addition, as part of the regular"Research Seminar in Accounting, Auditing & Governance (AAG)" series on Tuesday afternoon, there was the opportunity to follow Itay Goldstein's talk on "AI-Powered Trading, Algorithmic Collusion, and Price Efficiency". Besides the lecturer, thanks also go to all those who contributed to the seminar experience with their own perspectives mainly from the areas of finance or accounting.
