A new study in the field of network optimization, published in Computational Optimization and Applications, presents an innovative approach for detecting “ultra-small worlds” in complex networks, developed with the contribution of Prof. Dr. Oleg Prokopyev. The research team led by Veremyev et al. has devised distance-based clique relaxation models that enable the precise identification of subgraphs with predetermined distance distributions among nodes.
